Looks Like No Chicago Team Has Bragging Rights This Year

After sweeping the Chicago White Sox last weekend in wrigley field, the Chicago Cubs continued their road woes and got swept by the White Sox this weekend at U.S. Cellular. And I think the Cubs looked worse this weekend than the White Sox did last weekend.

The Cubs were beat in every part of the game. They got zero starting pitching, almost zero relief pitching and very little offense. The 'Cell' is a hitters park and other than a couple of bombs on Friday afternoon, did zero to hurt the Sox pitching staff. Of the three starters that went this weekend, Sean Marshall arguably pitched the best this weekend, but all that shows is the Cubs need to go out and get another stud to compliment Carlos Zambrano. And probably another arm for their bullpen. And with the Cubs leading the division, its definitely not time to panic, however, as a Cubs fan, you have to be a bit worried.

It looks that the Milwaukee Brewers and the St. Louis Cardinals are both going to be hanging in for the long haul and plan on giving the Cubs all they can handle down the stretch. It's going to be up to the Cubs and GM Jim Hendry to make a move to improve this team. Right now, they are a very good team, but not a great team.
