A trade out of nowhere as the Chicago White Sox pickup Ken Griffey Jr from the Cincinnati Reds today. Not sure what's heading to the Reds as they are awaiting Griffey's ok on the no trade clause, but where do they plan on playing him? His days as a CF are way, way past and I don't think Carlos Quentin nor Jermaine Dye are capable at playing CF or Jim Thome. Does Griffey move to 1B and Paul Konerko to the bench? Or has Kenny found someone to take Paulie's massive contract off their hands?
Also, the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that Williams has shown interest in Closer Houston Street from the Oakland Athletics, but the White Sox might not have the right people for GM Billy Beane to pull the trigger. Should be an interesting few hours as the trade deadline approaches at 3pm central.
