Please Don't Feel Sorry For Skiles

He's going to be just fine. He's owed $7 million over the next 2 years and he gets to spend more time with his family. He's ok with being dismissed on Christmas Eve and since the NBA isn't shutdown for Christmas, then teams should be able to make moves. If GM John Paxson knows he doesn't want Scott Skiles to coach the team, why wait for him to lose another game? He's lost the team and there is no way with Skiles coaching this team, they would be able to rebound from 9-16 start.

So where do the Chicago Bulls go from here? Well, for starters, they aren't that far out of a playoff spot. Paxson has to decide and fast whether this team has a chance to make the playoffs or if they should try and rebuild. SF Loul Deng and SG Ben Gordon are both restricted Free Agents after this season after turning down big contract offers before the season started.
Both have been rumored in trade talks and I think they both need to be moved if the Bulls can get a big man inside. PF Pau Gasol might be available from the Memphis Grizzlies and a good pickup for the Bulls if they can swing it. PG Jason Kidd of the New Jersey Nets would not be, so I hope the Paxson is not looking that direction.

As far as coaches go? Jeff Van Gundy deserves a good hard look by the Bulls. He's probably the best coach available and might help make the Bulls a contender next season.
